With more than 35 years of professional communications experience, Karen Twinem provides strategic and creative leadership for a wide array of Paul Werth Associates’ clients.
As Werth’s executive vice president, Ms. Twinem leads integrated teams serving clients in a diverse range of industries, including colleges and universities, preK-12 schools, technology, manufacturing, health care, pharmaceutical, banking, insurance, accounting, construction, architecture, food and beverage products, sports and fitness, retail, real estate and not-for-profit associations.
Before joining Werth, she served as creative director, associate creative director, copy director and director of account services for several advertising agencies and as marketing communications director at Cardinal Industries. She was a newspaper reporter and editor for 10 years.
Her work has been honored with a PRism award for Best Public Affairs Program from the Central Ohio Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, Best in Show awards from the Columbus Business Marketing Association and Addy awards from the Advertising Federation of Columbus.
Ms. Twinem sits on the board of trustees for the Columbus Metropolitan Club and on the board of advisors for Ohio Dominican University’s public relations curriculum. She also served on the board of the Center of Vocational Alternatives and two terms on the board of the Columbus Literacy Council, which awarded her the Keith Conning Outstanding Service Award.
A journalism graduate of The Ohio State University, Ms. Twinem earned her accreditation as a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Counselors Academy.
