Working Toward A Common Goal

January 31, 2014

Ohio’s top insurance executives are focused on the future. First up: charting a course for year two of Insuring Ohio Futures.

The program’s co-chairs – State Auto Insurance Companies Chairman, President and CEO Bob Restrepo and Westfield Group Leader and CEO Jim Clay – along with Motorists Insurance CEO David Kaufman and Ohio Insurance Institute President Dan Kelso, hosted a January 24 planning session that drew 20 top insurance executives from around the state.

The meeting followed a successful 2013 in which the industry began implementing strategies to fill an estimated 17,000 jobs in Ohio by 2018. Insuring Ohio Futures continues to build momentum as it encourages qualified students, career-change professionals and military veterans to consider a career in the industry and helps Ohio’s educational institutions offer programs to train them.
